'HUSTLIN YA LOVE'
Hip Hop Artist, Producer, Songwriter and Philanthropist James Conway, born Bilal Muhammad on January 6th, is a native of Newark “Brick City” New Jersey. He is influenced by many different music genres which makes his music style versatile and unorthodox. He was greatly influenced by his own mother who used to record music when he was a young boy. Watching her made him realize that he wanted to make music and make his mark in hip-hop. After attending some college he became disinterested in his classes and knew he had to work on his music 24/7. Music was his passion and destiny and he needed to begin living his dreams. Now being in the rap game for the last eight years, Conway continues to push the envelope and strive for greatness. He credits all of his success thus far to God, without Him he feels he could not have achieved many things in his life.
At one point of his life he was homeless. “I had to beg people to let me sleep on their floors and couches but finding God gave me peace in the storm. I was happier than ever. I achieved many things in life but none of it ever brought me true happiness and here I was dead broke and I was having the time of my life. God is good!” His goal is to create music people will love, enjoy, and be inspired. Conway states his “biggest fear is not giving my all. I can take a loss with no problem but I got to know in my heart of hearts that I gave it my best shot. In time you'll get over losing because it teaches you what not to do the next time around but not trying will haunt you forever”.
